Electron Gun EKF50/ EKF250
The Focus EKF50/ EKF250 Electron Gun is a source of electrons of variable energy designed
for use in Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) applications employing an electron energy analyser or a four grid LEED optic. For enhanced surface sensitivity a grazing incidence
geometry is advantageous. The gun can also be used as a charge neutralisation source in SIMS or ESCA applications where the electron beam may be defocused to form a broad spot.
The gun fits to the OMICRON NGE51 5kV gun control unit.
